Chesley named to UC board

Cincinnati attorney Stanley Chesley has been appointed to the University of Cincinnati board of trustees for a nine-year term by Gov. Ted Strickland, the university said Friday.

Chesley is president of downtown law firm Waite, Schneider, Bayless & Chesley LPA. He had served as a trustee from 1985 to 1994, and has most recently been a member of the UC Foundation board.

Nancy Zimpher, UC president, said in the release that Chesley "has offered decades of steadfast service and support to the University of Cincinnati guaranteed approval cash loans."

Chesley is a UC alumnus, having earned a bachelor's degree and a law degree from the school.
