Report: Whitman pushed eBay employee, reached agreement

Republican gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman allegedly pushed an eBay employee and later paid about $200,000 to resolve a possible legal matter, according to a New York Times report Monday.

Whitman, former eBay chief executive officer, forcefully pushed Young Mi Kim, who was preparing her for a media interview in 2007. The Times corroborated the report with two former eBay employees, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

A confidential agreement was reached and law-enforcement was not involved.

Kim, who is a senior manager with eBay, first denied the report, but later said that Whitman and she resolved the issue.

Whitman in a signed response to The Times said Kim was a “respected colleague and valuable asset to the company” and they had a “professional disagreement, which we put behind us no credit check payday loans."

Whitman left eBay soon after the incident, according to The Times.

Whitman defeated state Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner in the Republican race for governor last Tuesday. Whitman will battle state Attorney General and former Gov. Jerry Brown this fall.
